Our 6 inch hand scraped Lisbon spice Grand Cayman hickory brings a medium brown color with a tight grain and sketchy tree markings along each plank. Some planks in these engineered high density fiber pieces have a red or orange brownish undertone and can remind you of flavorful spices used in beverages or luxurious foods. Our cacao (pronounced “ku-kae-oh”) colored hickory pieces resemble the color of very dark and expensive chocolate. We're talking the kind of chocolate that offers a smooth texture with a bold flavor and yet is so rich it can only be purchased it in small one-inch squares. With these pieces, you won't add to your waistline but you still might salivate a little. Although there are some color variations in the planks, they are only subtle enough to show off the straight and wavy medium sized grain of the tree growth lines. If you listen closely enough, you can almost hear the hand scraping say “Go ahead, walk on me with bare feet...”
